Meidao Wins First Prize in Labor and Skills Competition and is Awarded Advanced Demonstration Unit
On February 1st, the District Federation of Trade Unions held the "2023 Spring Mobilization Meeting for Speed, Skill, and Advancement" to commend a number of advanced demonstration units of the 2022 Development Zone-Tie Shan District "Build a New Era, Strive to Enter the Hundred Strong Parks" Staff Labor and Skill Competition. Meidao Company was awarded the first prize in the advanced model unit of labor and skill competition of TEDA and Tieshan District.
The Development Zone-Tie Shan District "Build a New Era, Strive to Advance into the Hundred Strong Park" Employee Labor and Skills Competition was launched on April 26, 2022. The competition aimed to cultivate skilled talents in the new era, promote the innovative development of trade unions, and mobilize the efforts of workers to give full play to their ingenuity and talent. The competition also aimed to promote the reform and development of the region and stimulate enthusiasm for work in all walks of life.
In 2022, Meidao's trade union carried out fruitful work in the labor competition and skill enhancement of employees. They organized a two-month "Meidao Skill Competition" from March to April, with 15 types of work and 217 employees participating. This was the largest scale of competition, the number of participants, and the amount of rewards in Meidao's history. The trade union also combined the skills competition with the production line flow, actively implementing theoretical examinations for the position of shift manager and quality inspection, and implementing training and summarizing of problematic points to comprehensively improve the hands-on ability and theoretical level of staff.
In 2023, Meidao's trade union will continue to carry out technical explanation contests, production contests, theoretical knowledge tests, etc., according to different positions. Through multi-form, multi-session contests and competitions, Meidao aims to test the learning situation of staff, stimulate their enthusiasm for learning and striving, and achieve the goal of promoting, cultivating, and nurturing talents through competition.
